Brock Point is a newer neighborhood in Hoover off of Hwy-280 and County Rd. 41. The neighborhood is a 30-minute commute from downtown Birmingham and 30-minutes from the center of Hoover. Brock Point has completed construction.
The neighborhood was developed by Signature Homes, one of the most popular home builders in the Birmingham area. Signature has been involved with popular neighborhoods similar to Brock Point which include Riverwoods in Helena, Blackridge in Hoover, The Golf Villas at Ross Bridge in Hoover, and Reynold's Landing in Hoover.
Brock Point features sidewalks street lights, and mature oak and maple trees. There is also a 13-acre lake that is stocked with fish and a canoe and kayak launch.
The Neighborhood Market
Brock Point Homes have a classic American architectural style with wood, stone, and brick construction and details. Signature Homes had 26 floorplans for the neighborhood and the homes have between 3 and 6 bedrooms and 2.5 to 5.5 bathrooms.
In the past 12 months, there were 5 sales in Brock Point. These homes sold for an average of $845,390 with between 3 and 4 bedrooms and 3 to 5 bathrooms. These houses had an average of 3,602 sq. ft.
Schools
Brock Point residents are zoned for the Hoover City School System, one of the best systems in the state of Alabama. Spain Park High School is #12 in the state and has a graduation rate of 95% according to U.S. News. The school competes in Class 7A in the AHSAA with many sports for students to choose from including football, baseball, softball, basketball, track & field, lacrosse, swimming, soccer, and volleyball. The school also has academic programs including IB, AP, clubs, and academic teams.
Jefferson State Community College’s Shelby-Hoover campus is a very short commute from Brock Point. Courses offered include business, biology, chemistry, computer and word processing, agriculture, English, social sciences, mathematics, humanities, speech, art, and music appreciation.

Shopping and Entertainment
Brock Point is a 19-minute drive to The Summit which is known for some of the best shopping and dining in Birmingham. Restaurants include Village Tavern, Season 52, Urban Cookhouse, Macaroni Grill, Chuy's, and The Cheesecake Factory. Also located at the Summit Shopping Center are Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Apple, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lush, West Elm, Barnes and Noble, and a movie theater with 16 screens.
Closer to the neighborhood there are also several grocery stores, Walmart, Target, and other national stores along Hwy-280. A short 30-minute drive to the Riverchase Galleria and Patton Creek's shopping and dining.
