The Ridge is located in Jemison, Alabama along Interstate 65, and is midway between Birmingham and Montgomery. It is a quiet and family-friendly community with convenient access to interstates, major cities, local industries, and nearby schools.

While the community originally took shape with homes built in the early 2000s, it has undergone some growth in recent years. A 2021 expansion included a collection of beautifully designed newer homes, adding a fresh and contemporary feel to the neighborhood.
