Schools

Residents of Griffin Park at Eagle Point are within the boundaries of the Oak Mountain Schools which are a part of the Shelby County School System and consists of an elementary, Intermediate, middle and high school. 

Oak Mountain High School is ranked the #6 Alabama High School by U.S. News and has a 97% graduation rate. The school has 16 AP courses including Biology, Calculus, English Literature and Composition, French, Latin, U.S. History, Physics, and Studio Art. The school as includes a dual enrollment program with Jefferson State Community College, which allows high school students to take college-level courses and receive both college and high school credit. The school also focuses on career prep classes which include, Business, Finance, Nutrition, Marketing, and science.

Oak Mountain High School competes in AHAAA Class 7A athletics in baseball, basketball, bowling, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, outdoor track & field, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, and volleyball.

The band program has been ranked among the best bands in the state.There are six different choirs and several different options for bands, like two jazz ensembles, concert, symphonic, and wind ensemble.

Griffin Park is located five minutes away from the Village at Lea Branch shopping center which includes the AMC Lee Branch 15 theater, Baumhower's Restaurant, Urban Home Market, Hobby Lobby, Double Oak Mountain Pharmacy, The Melting Pot, Publix, Five Guys, and Panera. 

Griffin Park is also located only 16 minutes away from The Summit shopping center with the AMC Summit 16 theater, Barnes & Noble, Trader Joe's, Village Tavern, Cheesecake Factory, and many other restaurants. The shopping center is also home to many retailers including Saks Fifth Avenue, Lily Pulitzer, Vineyard Vines, Williams-Sonoma, Apple Store, Restoration Hardware, Belk, west elm, MAC, and Pottery Barn.
