Location

The Grey Oaks is a newer neighborhood in Pelham, Alabama. The neighborhood is conveniently located off county road 11 between i-65 and why 280. The neighborhood has street lights. The neighborhood also has a community pool that opened this summer which includes a pavilion and restrooms on site.

 

Donovan Builders LLC are the builders in the neighborhood. They are a full-service design-builder contractor that has been in the business for 11 years and have been involved in several new neighborhoods in Shelby, Jefferson, and St. Clair counties. These neighborhoods include Silver Lakes in Helena and Lime Creek in Chelsea. T

Schools

The Grey Oaks neighborhood residents are zoned for Pelham City Schools, a newly independent school system formerly a part of the Shelby County School District. The system includes Pelham Oaks Elementary, Pelham Ridge Elementary, and Pelham Park Middle School.

Pelham’s elementary schools offer students a wide variety of clubs and extracurricular activities for a variety of interests. Clubs include engineering, singing, running, arts, and wilderness skills. Pelham Park Middle School also has a variety of student organizations, clubs, sports, and elective classes for all interests.

Pelham High School has a highly ranked band, baseball team, color guard, debate, Scholars’ Bowl team, and drama department. Pelham High School also offers students an opportunity to participate in many sports including football, cross, country, cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, bowling, soccer, and golf. The school has a 97% graduation rate and an enrollment of just under 2,000 students. The school participates in AP class programs.

Grey Oaks has many amenities for you to enjoy, including a pool, a picnic pavilion, and access to Oak Mountain State Park! 

Things to do in Pelham Area

The biggest attraction in Pelham, by far, is Oak Mountain State Park! As mentioned above, Grey Oaks has access to the park within the neighborhood! Within the park, you can visit the Oak Mountain Amphitheater during the summer for a fun live show! The Alabama Wildlife Centre is a fun way for the whole family to learn about Alabama's native wildlife! 

Healthcare

Grey Oaks is about a 15-minute drive to Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. Grey Oaks is also close to Grandview Medical Center, about a 25-minute drive down Hwy 280. There are many clinics and urgent care offices on Hwy 31 in Alabaster.
