In a recent CoreLogic study of the housing market between 2012 and 2017, they wanted to investigate the state of the market since the end of the recession.
Chief Economist, Frank Nothaft, said “Greater demand and lower supply - as well as booming job market - have given some of the hardest-hit housing markets a boost in prices. Yet, many are still not back to pre-crash levels.”
Lake Crest is a large neighborhood on the east side of Hoover that stretches from highway 150 off I-459 to Preserve Pkwy. near Moss Rock Park. The neighborhood has homes that were built between 1978 and 2010s, most built in the early 2000s. The neighborhood is only a 20-minute commute to downtown Birmingham and less than a 12-minute drive to the heart of the city of Hoover. Lake Crest is also has a short 15-minute commute to Lakeshore Dr. in Homewood. These culs-de-sac streets create small pockets of communities throughout the neighborhood. If you are looking for private streets for your kids to play, this neighborhood might be for you.View More
