Riverchase

History

Riverchase started with the intention of becoming a sustainable, self-sufficient town that existed in harmony with nature. In 1979, the community was annexed into Hoover, but the goal of preserving the beauty of nature within a growing community continues to be met 35 years later.

Today, the neighborhood of Riverchase in Hoover, AL boasts beautiful land preservation. Riverchase has spawned business development and community pride. These aspects of the community are all evident when you visit Riverchase, even if you are just driving through. The rolling hills, tree-lined streets, and natural views are all located within the heart of Hoover. Businesses neighboring Riverchase thrive, whether it is a movie theater, a restaurant, or a retail store. Surely, Riverchase has contributed to Hoover's ranking in Money magazine as one of the top 100 Great Places to Live in the US.

Community

The Riverchase community feels close, even as the neighborhood is incredibly expansive. Riverchase has a women’s club, photography club, and bunko groups that promote inclusivity and relaxation. It is a premiere swim, golf and country club community (membership required). The country club provides many fun activities, including golf, tennis, or swimming in the pool. The clubhouse has multiple dining options for you to grab a bite or catch up with friends.

The location of Riverchase is another big plus for the community. Located only 20 minutes from Downtown Birmingham, Riverchase is close enough to enjoy the hustle and bustle of city life, but still, come home to a relaxing, natural landscape.

One of the many Hoover City parks is located within Riverchase. Wildflower Park provides fun for the entire family. Swing, slide, or just take a quiet walk in nature. The park has two playgrounds, an outdoor basketball court, a walking track (5 laps=1 mile) surrounding the athletic fields, public parking, and restroom facilities. Our team recently sold a home at 2054 Wild Flower Dr. where residents can walk to the park. It doesn't get better than that!
